Service Time and Place
10:15 AM at St. Patrick’s Anglican Church building (Plan to be there at 10:00 to allow for some time to prepare yourself and your family for worship.)
Parking is provided inside. Street parking is also available and a car guard is on duty.
Most people dress smart casual.
What about my children?
A creche and mother’s room is provided for mothers with infants as well as for children up to age 4. Our Sunday School is held during the service. The children join us for the singing and Bible reading, and then leave for their classes. We have one Sunday school class for ages 4-10. Children older than 10 are encouraged to sit through the entire service to observe how believers worship. Since we have recently implemented this change, a separate class for children aged 10-13 year is available to help them transition to the service in the new year.
Older children are encouraged to participate in the worship service.
What you can expect during the service
One of the elders will begin the service with a prayer, calling us to worship. Then he will mention the ministry details for the following week as well as any important congregational matters. This will end with a prayer bringing our ministry before the Lord. One of the men in the congregation will then read a portion of Scripture out loud and pray in light of the passage he read. Then the music team leads us in a few songs after which a prayer for the sermon is given. The preacher preaches for about 45 minutes and uses the English Standard Version (ESV) translation of the Bible. The sermon ends with a prayer. A closing song is sung, and a benediction ends the service. Tea and coffee is then served.
Every second Sunday the Lord’s Supper is served between the sermon and the benediction. Participating in the Lord’s Supper with us is open to all who are saved and have a clear conscience before the Lord as described in 1 Corinthians 11:28.
