What do you do with an all-powerful God?

God has all the power he wants to do what He likes to do. God is never frustrated by inability or a lack of means to accomplish His purposes.

Our God is in the heavens;
he does all that he pleases.

Psalm 115:3

God employs such impressive power to save people when they hear the Gospel (Rom 1:16) and grant eternal assurance to those whom He saved (John 10:28-29). God’s power enables Him to accomplish much through very weak instruments (2 Cor 12:9). Keeping all of nature obeying His laws for nature is merely a whisper of His thunderous power (Job 26:14). God’s power guarantees that the wicked get justice and many experience love (Jer 32:18). No human ruler can compete or oppose God’s power (Dan 4:35).

‘Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.

Jeremiah 32:17 (ESV)

Our response to such knowledge about God is to pray for all the wonderful things that He can do, for He can not only answer those prayers, but can go far beyond our requests (Eph 3:20-21). Because our God is stronger than all else, we find our refuge and strength in Him. Go and read the testimony of God’s power in 2 Chronicles 32:1-23.
